and kept screaming. i was asleep. >> in the fire she lost several art pieces created by her late father. firefighters say it started on a balcony caused by electrical wiring. woman was arrested after she led chp on a chase and riched off the richmond-san rafael bridge. started before 2:00 a.m. when a officer saw a car weaving on highway 101. they tried to pull the cover over but kathryn tynes sped off. officers pursued her to the bridge where she pulled ovand jumped 20 feet below -- over and jumped 20 feet below. kathryn tynes was pulled out of the water and arrested for probation violation and other charges. shootest last night in oakland -- shooting last night in oakland left a woman dead
and a boy enjoyed. investigators say the woman was visiting when a dispute happened. a man opened fire killing the woman and and -- and injuring the boy. another shooting left two people injured. police say the gunman walked up to a car and fired 16 shots. the victims were rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. happening now, tropical storm isaac is prompting hurricane warnings from florida to new orleans. >> south florida dealing with heavy winds and rain and tornado watches. this weekend the storm killed 7 people in haiti and now it

the punc punc and coming up -- ahead of the republican national committee and coming up the new campaign ads that were just released today. tropical storm isaac right now nearing key west, the track changed over the next few days. here is the latest. winds out of the had northeast -- out of the northeast at 36 miles per hour. wind speeds to 65 miles per hour. still a tropical storm and the position 60-miles to the southwest of key west, florida. here is the track as we take this into monday. winds around 70 miles per hour. here is the change. yesterday at 10:00 we were talking about the modelles shifting -- models shifting this to the west, here is tuesday and wednesday, strengthening and making land fall close to new orleans,
parts of alabama and the florida panhandle. as far as the hurricane warnings, this changed as well. all the areas shaded, this is the hurricane warning. rainfall will be on the order of 8-12-inches and peak storm surge if it happens with high tide that could be significant, 6-12 feet above normal tied levels. we will keep an eye on the track of tropical storm isaac and more coming up. another story, the petaluma nationals baseball team had another big day at the little league world series. they took on panama this morning. ktvu's cara liu followed the team and joins us live where the dream season has come to an end. what an exciting -- >> reporter: what an exciting run they have had here to pennsylvania. petaluma nationals got one final win today to end a
remarkable season. >> live ball. he has the. the season ended in sharp contrast to so many of the finishes that marked petaluma nationals' run in the little league world series. they placed third. >> our dream came true and i am proud. >> crazy we are number three in the world. >> we are so happy and proud of them. >> they worked so hard and sacrificed and put so much time into it. i am proud of them. that is what hard work does. >> reporter: today's win comes on the heels of an emotional roller coaster of yesterday's final, petaluma nationals lost that game, despite scoring 10 runs in the 6th inning. >> last night, after being done 10 runs and coming back and playing another game, lot of teams would have layed down but

that has some concerned the fires could jump containment lines. several people on a plane died last night after it crashed. it crashed at the south lake tahoe airport. witnesses saw the plane turn, dip and crash into a meadow. the faa says there were several people aboard. police are investigating a shooting that they believe was gang related. officers say someone shot at a car at 7:00 p.m. last night on westwood drive near first team. the victim and a suspect fled. officers arrested a man who may be connected to the shooting on a unrelated drug charge. learning new details about apple's win in a courtroom last week. ktvu's janine de la vega standing by live in san jose

rights to have abortions. >> rallies were also head in los angeles, new york and chicago. they combined two routes and lawned a new weekend route that runs between the cal train station and the bart station and daily city. it is part of a pilot project for 18 months, they will see if it better serves passengers. san francisco, the entrance to the powell street station for bart and money starts a six year shut down tomorrow. riders will find signs directing them to the fourth and market street entrance. it is part of the construction project that will be open in 2019. tension mounts in syria, dozens of bodies were discovered. >> an update on nato's mission

the mission in afghanistan. they closed 200 bases and transferred 300 others to local forces. the moves are in preparation to hand over security to afghan officials. last october nato was operating 800 bases. that number dropped to 300. the u.s. is drawing down forces from 103 last year to 68,000 by october. in china a bus crash killed 3 dozen people. a bus collided with a tanker. both vehicles burst into flames. the majority of passengers were asleep. three people did survive. in venezuela firefighters are struggling to put out a fire in a refinery. it started yesterday after an explosion damaging two hundred homes. 39 people were killed in the

home tomorrow after beating panama today. yesterday they played their hearts out but lost against tennessee. they will be honored next sunday with a parade in petaluma. chevron closed the last help center and victims of the chevron refinery fire must file claims now by phone. a lawsuit is forming and during a meeting yesterday, victims learned how they could join the suit. 18,000 individual claims have been filed so far. chevron will not comment on the potential lawsuit. the company has said safety is its first priority. gas prices continue to climb following the fire. a gallon of regular cost three dollars 76 on average across the u.s. that is a 7-cent jump during the past two weeks. in the bay area, san francisco
$4.21. at $14.15 in oakland. >> since august 17 officers arrested 183 drivers on alcohol or drug charges. they will conduct check points next weekend. extra paroles will be out in other cities. another candlelight vigil is scheduled tomorrow to schedule those killed by the spike in violence. tomorrow evening another prayer vigil is scheduled. san jose's police chief is expected to attend. and families of victims are expected to speak. so far this year 33 people have been killed in san jose, there were 39 homicides in all of 2011. big competition in the cell phone and tablet market.

thinner. you can watch ktvu newscast even when you are away, download the ktvu app and be connected anytime anywhere. pg&e crews are scheduled to perform pressure tests on a section of pipeline in south san francisco. crews will be focused on ridge road. after the test it will be monitored for 8 hours. if any section does not meet standers they will be replaced. the government is said to begin a aerial radiation survey over the bay area. it will measure naturally occurring radiation in the care. it will fly every day through sunday. the government says the information will be used to improve the way radiation is measured. crucial week for legislators.
the session ends friday giving lawmakers a few more days to pass laws. they expect democrats to vote for a pension reform bill. he says lawmakers are still working out details with governor jerry brown. homeowners in san francisco will hold two more protests tomorrow. >> just like last week they will protest what they say are unfair evictions. the first protest is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. outside pnc bank. they promised a loan modification but issued another eviction notice. it is expected tomorrow at noon. they say they are being forced out so they can renovate buildings.
caltrans will begin a demolition product starting tomorrow night. drivers should expect lane changes at 7:00 p.m. officials will address a street light controversy tomorrow with pg&e. some people are upset old lights are being replaced with a modern style. they point out berkeley upgraded with other lamps. pg&e said they had chosen the stainless steel versions. road work tomorrow could cause traffic delays. they are planning a project along highway 1 from 101 to stenson beach. they haven't said how long the work is expected to last. officials are returning a marmot captured back to
yosemite. it was found near a storm drain last week. they believe it hitched a ride in a engine. they plan to return him to the same area it came from. yosemite officials are looking for volunteers to help clean up the park. they are offering free camping to volunteers. they hold the event every year to remove trash. a festival in oakland is winding down right now. >> the street fest took over several blocks. there were 200 booths with entertainment, food, crafts and a carnival. still to come, thousands head to the black rock desert for the burning manifestival.
